Hello, today we will discuss about setting up ads after applying for AdSense approval.
This description is based on Cloudways users.
Plugin Installation
- ads.txt
Login to Cloudways. Then, find the plugin and add it. Click “Add New”, type “ads.txt” in the search bar, install and activate.
2. Inserting Header & Footer
Search for “head & footer”. The plugin should also appear when typing just “head &”. Install and activate it.
3. Enable auto updates:
Go to ‘Installed Plugins’ and click on ‘Enable Auto Updates’. This button allows enables automatic updates instead of manual updates.
If enabled, you should see ‘Auto Updates Disabled’.
Applying for AdSense:
Once you complete the above steps, Copy your WordPress address and go to Google AdSense.
1. Click on “Sites”, then click “Add Site” to paste or type in your site address.
Don’t worry if you see the Korean language below. button’s function and name are just same.
Copy the AdSense code, go to WordPress tools, click “Head and Footer,” paste the code, and save the changes.

2. Adsense code snippet -> Go to your word press -> Tool -> Head & Footer -> Paste your code
3. Go to the ads.txt tab in adsense
copy the snippet, and go to WordPress site settings. Click “App-ads.txt” and paste the copied snippet into a blank space. Then Save your change
4. Request Reviews
Click “Request Reviews” on your website, and all AdSense settings are complete.
When you return to your website, you will see the address you have recently used.
The approval status should be “Pending”, and the ads.txt will show “Not Found”.
Once approved, these will be updated. All completed. thank you!
